The cloud crowned island, Luytla-Duymun, is the smallest of the 18 Faroe Islands, located between Scotland and Iceland. This place is 0.8 square km (0.3 square miles) with the highest point, Mount Ravan, 414 meters (1,358 feet) high. The island is uninhabited, but an amazing travel destination for adventurers. The cloud crown is an phenomenon known as Orographic lift. It occurs when an air mass is forced from a low to a higher elevation as it moves over rising terrain. As the air mass gains altitude it quickly cools down adiabatically, which can raise the relative humidity to 100% and create clouds, and under the right conditions, precipitation.

The hundredth monkey effect is a phenomenon in which a thought, action or behavior spreads from one group monkeys to another, once a critical number is reached. That kind of spreading isn’t explainable and that’s what this phenomenon is about. Read more for the full info on the phenomenon.

In 1952. on the island of Koshima, biologists were observing “Macaca fuscata” monkeys. Once they accidentally left potatoes after dinner, and on cameras they saw an 18-month-old female named Imo found their lunch and started eating it. Potatoes were tasty but also dusty though, but she had an idea. Imo went to the see, washed potatoes and ate them. Next day the team left more potatoes on purpose, but this time Imo came with her mother and showed her how to wash up the dusty food. So after a while all monkeys were washing the potatoes and eating them delightful. Biologists wrote down this psychological activity although they were not researching that. When they completed their mission, they moved to another island that was kilometers away from this one. But what happened… When the troop reached the new island, they observed that monkeys didn’t try the dusty potato, every single monkey washed his potato even though he saw it for the first time. This action was copied from one island to another without any physical contact, so basically thought is a very powerful tool.

World’s Deepest Sea-Hole

If you are ever visiting the coast of Belize, you definitely have to make it one of your priorities to visit the Great Blue Hole, world’s deepest sea-hole, one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. The Great Blue Hole is located in Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, about 60 miles away from Belize City. It is believed that this hole is the world’s largest sea-hole. It is about 125 meters deep and its diameter is about 300 meters wide. It has been created as a cause of sea level increase during several episodes of Quaternary glaciation about 65,000 years ago. It is very popular amongst tourist who often place because of its almost perfect circle shape. This place is most attractive for scuba divers who are exploring the depths of this hole. It is known that there are a plenty of cave networks in this place. Divers also have a chance to see plenty rare animal species and forms of life which can be found only in this place. Although NASA did make a big buzz about this planet, many people are still uninformed about this mission. To find out more about the Earth alike planet read some facts below.

NASA’s Kepler mission confirms its first planet in habitable zone of a sun-like star.

The planet is about 2.4 times the radius of Earth. Scientists don’t yet know if Kepler-22b

has a predominantly rocky, gaseous or liquid composition, but its discovery is a step closer to finding Earth-like planets.

If the atmosphere provides a greenhouse effect similar in magnitude to the one on Earth,

the planet would have an average surface temperature of 22 °C.

Kepler-22b is located 600 light-years away. While the planet is larger than Earth, its orbit of 290 days around a sun-like star resembles that of our world.

The planet’s host star belongs to the same class as our sun, called G-type, although it is slightly smaller and cooler.

NASA’s Kepler mission confirms its first planet in habitable zone of a sun-like star. The planet is about 2.4 times the radius of Earth. Scientists don’t yet know if Kepler-22b has a predominantly rocky, gaseous or liquid composition, but its discovery is a step closer to finding Earth-like planets. If the atmosphere provides a greenhouse effect similar in magnitude to the one on Earth,the planet would have an average surface temperature of 22 °CKepler-22b is located 600 light-years away. While the planet is larger than Earth, its orbit of 290 days around a sun-like star resembles that of our world. The planet’s host star belongs to the same class as our sun, called G-type, although it is slightly smaller and cooler.
